Bournemouth Pier

One of my plans for the winter was to photograph Bournemouth Pier with the setting sun as a backdrop. I wanted a letter box crop and I wanted the tide and cloud lines to radiate out from the corners and this shot seemed to achieve that. I love the way the setting sun is reflected in the wet sand. The clouds had built up without me noticing and had darkened and had became quite brooding, I was delighted to see the sun giving them a pinkish underside.
