Bratley View Pine

This is a much photographed tree in the New Forest, only a few yards from the car park at Bratley View near Mogshade Hill. This picture was taken just after dawn. The low sun brings out an attractive variety of colour and the dampness of the dew turns the bracken almost purple. This image was subsequently shortlisted in the Take a View Landscape Photographer of the Year competition for 2012.
