The view along the tide line at Calshot faces south west and so it is only in mid winter that the sun is setting over the sea. I also wanted to co-incide my visit with high tide so that the tide line and the beach huts were as close to each other as possible. With a forecast for patchy cloud cover and with high tide coinciding with sunset I grabbed my bag and headed off.
