The Cherhill White Horse near Calne is the third oldest of Britain’s White Horses. This fence running due east and pointing straight towards the horse provided the perfect lead in. From this angle I could include the monument and the horse without the composition looking too forced. There was still a lot of cloud but the sun did burst through spreading warming colour across the far hill side.
