Corfe Mist

An iconic viewpoint within an hours drive of home. I timed my visit for a spring morning following a warm day and a still clear night. As I climbed up West Hill and looked back I realised I had been lucky and the 4am alarm call had been worth it. I found a viewpoint looking more south east as most of the white blanket had concentrated on the southern side of the village. I then waited for a patch of mist to circle around the front of the castle to complete the composition. This shot was my favourite taken 11 minutes before sunrise.
