Dunstanburgh Castle

The locals call these rocks the death rocks as they can be very slippy. Walking boots are better for grip but if you want to be at the water’s edge then you’ll need wellies, a bit of a dilemma. Some amazing and unexpected colour spread across from the setting sun which was over my right shoulder. When you get colour opposite the sun (ie in the east at sunset or in the west at sunrise) it is often pastel blues and pinks.
