Butser Hill

As one of the highest points in Hampshire Butser Hill dominates the surrounding landscape. With an hour to go before dusk the sun disappeared behind the only cloud in the sky. I decided to hang on and hope that around 50 minutes later it would reappear in a small clear gap at the horizon. Thankfully it did and much improved an otherwise flat image. Side lighting always enhances the contours and colours and so I always like to plan a shot with side lighting in mind.
