Heather & Mist

My main target for August and September was a dawn shot in the New Forest with the heather in bloom against a misty backdrop. As I headed down the M27, however, it looked like it was fog or low cloud that would greet me at Rockford. Luckily, there was mist although as I watched the mist started to fade but then just after sunrise the mist began to develop again and roll along the valley, I excitedly began taking pictures. This was a shot which had been long in the planning and after several disappointing visits to Rockford it had turned out just as I’d hoped.
