Hengistbury Head

Hengistbury Head in Dorset includes an excellent variety of habitats and there are superb views from the top of the Head towards the Isle of Wight, Bournemouth, Sandbanks and the Purbecks. This is a view westwards from the top of the Head with Bournemouth just visible in the background. Two walkers along the beach added some scale. This image was taken 3 minutes before sunset by which time the sun had dipped into the haze and lit up the clouds from below.
