Kimmeridge Bay

A late afternoon visit to Kimmeridge coincided with a rising and very high tide, not easy conditions and the sky was also a little overcast. I was drawn to a triangle of large rocks which I managed to isolate within the crashing waves with a long exposure. Quite unexpectedly, and dramatically improving the image, the sun dipped down below the horizon and bounced its pink light down from the high cirrus clouds. The brooding darker clouds remained as a contrast over the headland at Broad Bench.
