Lady’s Slipper Orchid

In my quest to photograph all of Britain’s Orchids we headed up north again to see a further 4 species. First stop was Gait Barrows in Lancashire. The Lady’s Slipper Orchid population in the UK dwindled to 1 plant (!!) and so a re-introduction programme was established. One of the re-introduction sites is well publicised (Gait Barrows) and so we paid a visit.
