Langstone Mill near Hayling Island is a Grade II listed building and a scheduled ancient monument. The four storey tower mill was built in circa 1730 and worked in conjunction with a nearby tide mill. It became derelict in 1934 and the 4 sales were removed. The mill was then converted into residential accommodation in 1939 with the tower tarred and a new cap constructed. A dawn visit would have had me shooting directly into the sun and so I visited in the evening to ensure warm side light in the hour before dusk.
