At this time of year there is an attractive variety of colour in the New Forest - the lilacs of Ling (Common Heather), the brighter pinks of Bell Heather, the browns of fading heather and the greens of ferns. This image was taken just as the sun finally appeared above the clouds flooding the heather with direct light.
