Lulworth Skipper

The nationally rare Lulworth Skipper occurs widely around Durlston Country Park in Dorset and never ventures far from its food plant, clumps of coarse Tor Grass. In inclement weather, just like today, they drop down deep into the grass. After a long search we finally found a group of roosting Lulworth Skippers, mostly females like this one. We set up tripods and monoevered into position making sure the background was free of clutter so as to isolate the skipper.
