Ruddy Darter

I arrived around sunrise to photograph the Ruddy Darters at Emer Bog near Chandler’s Ford but because the sun didn’t get around to this clearing it was several hours before they were warm and dry enough to fly. This male was just about ready to take his first flight of the day at around 8am.
