A mid tide at St Michael’s Mount reveals a nice amount of the causeway. Any lower and there are too many distracting rocks on either side of the causeway and any higher and you are back too far and other unwanted elements come into the composition. A long exposure of 35 seconds simplifies the picture by reducing the distractions around the causeway. In between the cold rain showers there was some brightness to add interest in the sky and the long exposure created a subtle amount of attractive motion blur.
