Ashness Bridge

Ashness Bridge is a tiny but picturesque humped back bridge which crosses the Barrow Beck and is an iconic Lakeland viewpoint. A bus load of Japanese tourists arrived shortly after us and at one stage I counted 30 people standing roughly where I took this photo. Derwentwater just creeps into the frame with Skiddaw rising steeply above Keswick. A busy scene and a large dynamic range which was difficult to capture in one exposure.
