In the past barns like this were often the hub of everything in the town and in farming communities were used as storage and shelter areas for animal feed or equipment and often housed supplies, horses, and vehicles. This barn was relatively up together and according to a passer by was still being used although he did say that he had just rung the owner to advise that one of the roof panels was loose.
