Trebarwith Strand

Reference: CO68
Location: Cornwall
Gallery: Cornwall,

Only as we arrived to shoot the narrow gully at Trebarwith did it dawn on me that the strong westerly wind and sea spray could make it an impossible shoot. We decided to use a spare filter at the front of the filter holder which we would slide up briefly for each picture and then quickly slide it back down to protect the lens from sea spray. Even doing this the lens still needed a full wipe down after each shot but it did make pictures possible. Having said that we were about to leave without any great pictures, however, we then noticed a gradual pink band spreading across the horizon and eventually we were rewarded with some lovely colour.
